Blez is a DC-born, Maryland-raised vocalist and song writer. Classically trained in voice, Blez graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts in DC. She started her career as a session vocalist, soon joined her first band, and began working as a gigging vocalist in the Metro DC area. Blez has lived and toured in Southeast Asia with an international band and toured 13 cities in the Middle East performing for Armed Forces troops. She has been an in-demand lead and background vocalist with many career highlights, including her 2009 duet with Jennifer Hudson at Constitution Hall.
