Red Sky Over Halifax: A New Musical Workshop Presentation

Chris Rudy (Albert) is delighted to be making his Signal House Productions debut. Most recently, you may have seen him as Barry Mann in Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre's Beautiful, Vinnie in Next Stop Theatre's Lucky Stiff, or Mary Sunshine in Keegan Theatre's Chicago. Some other regional credits include: Olney Theatre Center: Forever Plaid (Jinx), Spring Awakening (Georg), and South Pacific (Stewpot); Monumental Theatre Co: Urinetown (Bobby Strong); Creative Cauldron: Beauty and the Beast (LeFou). Ryan Alexander is extremely excited to be a part of this original workshop, and bring this story to the stage. He recently appeared in RENT as ‘Roger’ at Compass Rose Theater. As well as ‘Jimmy Ray’ in Brightstar, ‘Captain Jack Absolute’ in The Rivals, and ‘Ram Sweeney’ in Heathers. In the fall he will be portraying ‘Agamemnon’ in The Greeks. A Virginia native, Russell Rinker has performed all over the US and internationally as an actor, singer, musician, and fight director. For several years he was a Blue Man in the world-famous Blue Man Group. Other notable credits include Los Angeles Opera, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and Goodspeed Opera House. Locally, multiple shows at Olney Theatre Center, 1st Stage, and Toby’s Dinner Theatre. TV: The Disney Channel (w/ Zendaya), Discovery Channel, and The Tonight Show. He has a BA from The College of William and Mary.

Aubee Billie is the 23 year old daughter of Maria and James Billie and a recent graduate of Elon University with her BFA in Music Theatre and BA in Arts Administration. Aubee is part of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, where she has been a representative for the tribe since the age of 6. She is very passionate about Native and Indigenous stories, as she starred in the Off-Broadway show “Distant Thunder” playing Aiyana. Bradley Foster Smith was born in Detroit and grew up in East Tennessee. Twice-nominated for Helen Hayes Hayes Awards (Suite Surrender, 1st Stage; Nero-Pseudo, WSC), Brad spent the better part of the last decade producing dramatized audiobooks and raising a family. John Scott-Richardson is an American Obie Award-winning actor in film, theater, and TV. John holds a BA in Psychology and Art. He began his career by writing and directing youth advocacy plays. John trained at the following: North Raleigh Community Theater, Safe Harbors NYC, and Amerinda Inc. NY. His film and TV credits include Comedy Central Awards (Viacom), Banshee (Cinemax), Vice Principals (HBO), The American West (AMC), Jamestown (Sky1BBC), The ReunionNY, The Heart Stays (Amerinda), The Politician (Netflix), Lumbeeland (FNX), and HUMAN. His theatrical work includes Powwow Highway (Amerinda), New Circle Theater (Broadway), Dvorak in America (La Mama), Don’t Feed the Indians (Safe Harbors), Mangled Beams (Amerinda), Ajijaak On Turtle Island (New Victory/Ibex Puppetry), The Pendleton Blanket (Amerinda) and most recently Between Two Knees (1491’s) (Obie Award 2024). John’s directorial debut came from directing Soledad written by Dr. Carolyn Dunn. John
is a public speaker, cultural presenter who has presented at NC Department of Public Instruction, United Nations Equator Awards, NY Children’s Museum, Raritan Community College, Lotus Music and Dance, Whitney Museum, Park Avenue Armory, Seaton Hall University and Cambio Climatico in Chile. John recently emceed the Shubert Foundation H.S. musical theater festival 2025. He is instrumental in developing curriculum and programs for museums, corporations and educational organizations. John is enthusiastic about youth and
hopes to inspire the next generation of story tellers.

A proud resident of Bowie, Gary DuBreuil is happy to be returning to the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts, where he has performed the role of Scrooge in the BCPA’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL since its inaugural production in 2023. He also directed THE SEASIDE ADVENTURES OF ZOEY BRINE, a series of short musicals for families, at the BCPA in 2022. He has performed across the United States and internationally. Jacob Mainhart is a recent graduate of Catholic University in the second class of their BFA in Theater Film and Television. Jacob is at home in this theater as he works here as a Stage Technician, Usher, and performs in their annual production of A Christmas Carol.
