Celebrate the holidays at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts with our original production of Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted and directed by Christopher Dwyer.

Step back in time to Victorian London for one of the world’s most beloved stories, told with music, magic, humor, and heart in this acclaimed adaptation at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts. Follow London’s most notorious miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, as he journeys through time with a host of spirits to re-discover his own humanity — and the spirit of the holidays.

Gary DuBreuil is happy to be returning to the BCPA, where he appeared as Ebenezer Scrooge in last year's inaugural production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL and directed the 2022 productions of THE SEASIDE ADVENTURES OF ZOEY BRINE! Marcus Wilder is happy to be returning to the stage and visiting a special role to his heart, Bob Cratchit, for which he was the original actor in BCPA’s first annual production of “A Christmas Carol”. He’s the Acting Instructor at the BCPA’s Broadway Bound Summer Camp, and the director of the end of camp show.
He is a proud Alumnus of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). He wants to thank his family, friends, and his BCPA family.

Sydney Dionne (she/her) is elated to return to the BCPA stage in this festive production! Previous BCPA credits include The Seaside Adventures of Zoey Brine (Ranger Dale). Bryan Hargraves is very excited for his debut performance in BCPA’s A Christmas Carol. This is not his first time working with Christopher Dwyer as he has previously participated in MNCPPC Shakespeare in the Park Summer Series such as As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also been in several shows with 2nd Star Productions at Bowie Playhouse as Max Detweiler in The Sound of Music, Tom Snout in Something Rotten, the Escapologist and Rudolpho in Matilda, Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown, ensemble in Dreamgirls, and most recently Joey in Sister Act. He is incredibly grateful for his family, friends, and former teachers for their love and support.

Matthew Pauli (he/him) is an actor, clown, and puppeteer. In the DC area, he has performed with Faction of Fools, Constellation Theatre, Imagination Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre, and Everyman Theatre in Baltimore, among others. He is also one of the founders of Clown Cabaret, a performance laboratory for developing clown work. He toured for six seasons with Big Apple Circus and proudly works with Healthy Humor, Inc, performing clown rounds at Johns Hopkins Hospital and National Children’s Medical Center. He is a graduate Georgetown University, as well as the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Clown College, and has an MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Academy for Classical Acting at the George Washington University.

Karina is the Performing Arts Chair at Landon School in Bethesda, MD and Monologue Madness 2013 Champion.

A.J. has traversed several stages across the DMV, his talents as versatile as the seasons themselves. From the grandest dramas to the merriest musicals, his passion for the craft is evident in every performance. As he guides Ebenezer Scrooge through the kaleidoscope of the present day, prepare to be enchanted by a performance that is both haunting and heartwarming.
